It is that time of year again, the sun is shining, and people are booking holidays to far-away exotic destinations.  After all, who doesn’t fancy a bit of time lazing on a lounger or sunning in the sand, and don’t forget a drink or two at the bar.  It is just so relaxing to get away from work and the mundane routine of life and forget your cares.  Whether you are going to be all-inclusive or staying in a villa, having the perfect wardrobe to hand is vital.  The secret is to pack pieces from your wardrobe that can have more than one function and look.  Ensuring that you won’t go over your baggage limit and you will still have space to bring home gifts for the family or duty-free for yourself.

The need for comfort and style starts as soon as you board the plane.  You might want to have one warmer outfit for getting on the flight but if you know you are being welcomed the other end by sizzling temperatures you certainly won’t be needing it again for the duration of your holiday.  What you do want is an outfit that allows you to sit comfortably and not have the stress of waistbands digging in or collars that are too tight.  One of my favourite flight outfits comes from the new collection by Ricky Brazil.  Available in a gorgeous peach or sea green these shorts and asymmetric top are just so classy, and they are perfect for landing in warmer climates. So comfortable to sit around in and, if you want to make a great first impression, swap your travel flip flops for some kitten heels before you head out of the arrivals gate.

This stunning outfit can be dressed up with heels or kept casual with flats.  And, once you reach the beach and or poolside you will look like an absolute goddess while you work on that all-important tan.

It doesn’t matter whether you favour a bikini or a one piece, a good cover-up is a holiday essential and, once more, the excellent Brazil has exceeded himself in my expectations.  I just adore this long sleeve swimming costume that has an ultra-sexy shoulder reveal and is so easy to accessorize with a simple wrap effortlessly tied at the waist to create a cute mini skirt.

There is nothing better than the feeling of turning heads (for all the right reasons), so be sure to keep it all about the fashion.  Don’t do the whole ‘holiday maker finds sun’ routine and end up as pink as a lobster feeling slightly uncomfortable.  Be sure to apply sun cream and stay well hydrated so your skin is supermodel ready rather than post BBQ done.  Alternate drinks at the bar with bottled water, so you do not shrivel up. Nothing spoils an outfit more than crispy shoulders and a peeling face.  Grab your fake tan before you leave the country and just spend your time in the sun having fun and looking fabulous.
